There are no words in the English language to describe how I feel about this. If Theodore Decker was a real man and not just Donna Tartt’s literary victim (affectionate) I’m sure I would recognise him anywhere. There’s a strange feeling in my chest when I finish this. It’s the best thing I’ve ever read. It is the art that touches me so profoundly that this book loves to talk about. It’s remarkable to me that this only took 10 years to write. It will remain with me for a lifetime.
