Looking for Alaska by John Green

5.0

I’ve read this book twice now and both time is left me speechless.
A big thing with John Greens books is that I always feel somewhat inspired after I read them to make change happen. And it’s nothing really big scale either. It’s almost always on a personal lever because I know that, before I can make change happen somewhere else, I have to help myself first. (And also those who are close to me.)
This book has really inspired me to live a little more than I am now. I’m not one to take risks or stand up for myself. Confrontation is a thing of fear and it’s not easy for me to just talk to someone I don’t know very well. But this book has put that all into perspective for me. It’s given me the mindset that I can go out there and be myself and I should worry about what people think. I want to go out and find Th Great Perhaps, just like Pudge wanted to. And that what I’m going to do.
