How to Fake-Date a Vampire by Linsey Hall

3.0

I read the first book in this series, which I enjoyed. When I saw book 2 in the series was available, I figured why not. I read it quite quickly and enjoyed some aspects of this story, but ultimately, this just wasn"t for me.

I had so many issues with this book, starting with the pacing issues in the beginning. I felt like i was verbally tripping over thoughts and conversations. It was hard to follow at times. Another issue i had was the book is titled "how to Fake Date a Vampire," but honestly, there were little to no indications that Alaric was a vampire. Yes, he drank blood, but other than that, there was nothing else that distinguished him as such. Finally, I read the first book in the series and this book feels like it followed the exact same formula as that one. Nothing seemed new or refreshing - it was very predictable. I wish I could have rated it higher.
