I get it now… finally I understand! When people say that Frankenstein as a story has never been faithfully adapted to film and is superior and in every way to said film adaptations. I agree 100%! I’d say Shelly’s classic is the pinnacle if not the best of all classic horror. It broods with chilling descriptions of the creature, who honestly just wanted a friend, and its creator tormented by his own work. It’s a fascinating story that I hope to revisit again someday!
