I like the story pacing in this series better than VA. I also liked the addition of old characters Sonya and Dimitri. Dimitri and Adrian's dynamic was interesting to read. I always liked how Dimitri saw the potential in Adrian from day one and was easier on him than the rest of world even *Rose*. Spirit's introduction as cure was intriguing to read. As well as the trials that Sonya and Adrian were conducting were a good plot addition.
Kinda off topic but Sonya says this to Dimitri in this book and it was slightly weird to me now that I'm 25. "And here I thought you had a soft spot for reckless young girls."
Overall a great fast read!
