House of Whispers by R.L. Stine

2.0

I decided to re-read some of my childhood favorite so naturally I couldn’t leave R.L. Stine out of it. This book was one of my favorites as a child and, for what it is, it’s not bad but it’s certainly not great. There is absolutely no conclusion to this book whatsoever and the plot is barely tangible but I’ll give it two stars for nostalgia alone.

Most importantly, who was letting me read these? Did I have parental supervision at all? The book might be poorly written but the death scenes were still pretty gruesome even to adult standards. I should probably bring this to my therapist. It might explain a lot.
