"I've been looking for beautiful things to bring meaning to life, when it's moments like these - vulnerable, authentic, imperfect - that make life beautiful."

Awwwwww. The Beach Trap is the perfect heart-warming, feel-good summer read! I really really enjoyed this sweet story; thank you so much to Berkley for the free copy!
.
Kat and Blake meet when they are 12 at summer camp and quickly become BFF. However, they soon find out that they have a lot more in common than they thought - they are half sisters! Miscommunication and confusion keep them apart for 15 years until the father they share passes away; he leaves Kat and Blake his beach house in Florida - but to share! (Such a fun premise!)
.
This is a very lighthearted story with a few heavier themes. There is romance, a super cute dog, a lot of fun, nostalgic moments, and a wonderful story of acceptance and reconciliation. I'd totally read this one again, it just made me feel good!

I rec for fans of:
- Beach reads
- Home reno themes
- Romance as a side plot
