When will Proteus be #MeToo’d?!!! So not a gentleman!!!
My two stars go to the awesome clown and obviously our favorite Elizabethan doggy Crab.
This was one of my first non-High School Required Shakespeare plays I’ve read, and so I think I can safely say I thought it sucked BEFORE I read a decent amount of Shakespeare. I like thinking that Proteus and Valentine are just in guy love and their female ‘love’ obsessions are just secondary antics, and at least Valentine calls out Proteus. But the ending was just so hasty and weird. I bet people thought it was weird then too.
