Chicago's bad boy of the NHL meets a curvy, curly-haired flight attendant and sparks fly. Both are struggling with their self-image and bring out the best in each other, but it brings a believable tension to the narrative. Mental health, body image, found family, family dynamics, and loving and believing in yourself are the main themes and tropes. It's steamy, heartwarming, and has a great cast of characters. Zanders and Stevie fall hard, and one night isn't enough - but getting to happily ever after takes more than a few takeout dinners and visits to the senior dogs' shelter.
