Welp.... I think I finally might be getting to the point I say these books need to  be come to an end.
#18 installment of my beloved Three Pines.

It was a nod to the other ones, a revisit to the Monks. Lots of resurfacing plots and digging up past ghosts. It felt stilted and choppy at first but the writing did find itself at the end.

A definite grim, darker look at Three Pines. And LOTS of language. I needed headphones the whole time bc of little ears around. It made me blush at times- never have experienced that before as much (and not just the duck IYKYK).

I wanted my old Gamache back, but I realize a book and characters go through changes too as the Author changes and goes through seasons of life

Maybe it's a timing thing, I get that too. Just something felt "off" with my beloved series.

But also there's the foreshadowing to the next in the series... mabye this one is paramount to what is coming!
