Before I read this book, I checked out the reviews and thought this is going to be a "heartwarming" and "cozy" story just like how most readers described it. I started reading this book thinking that it's going to be a lighthearted novel that is perfect for rainy days. The reviews are not entirely wrong though, it's true that the story is heartwarming and cozy especially on the first part when it's all about confectioneries. But I didn't expect the latter half to be so heartbreaking. Personally, I didn't think the story was "lighthearted", "cozy", and "heartwarming" because by the time I finished reading this book, my eyes were all red and puffy because I was bawling my eyes out for the last few chapters. I love that it's such a short book so it never felt dragging, and the message of the story is so beautiful. I love the author's note at the end :(
