I picked this up as part of my continuation of this series.
“Alice in Borderland, Vol. 7” continues to follow characters as they try to take on the face cards and this new phase of games in Borderland. The majority of this volume follows a group of unlikely characters as they come together to try to take down the King of Spades.
I think I would be far more invested in this side story if it were not taking so long to get through. I originally fell in love with this series, because I really enjoyed Arisu as a character specifically. And I want to be following his perspective, and his time in Borderland, but the story keeps going back to other characters. I appreciate these side stories for giving us more context about Borderland. But, it is becoming a little much.
I am beginning to lose a little bit of steam for this series, which feels strange to say. This series has so much action and violence, I do not think I should be this bored.
I will continue with this series in the hopes that the next volume captures my attention a little bit more, but right now, I am not having a great time.
