Humankind: A Hopeful History by Rutger Bregman
5.0
This book have me so much to think about! My favorite of his theories is that homosapiens are the domesticated protohumans, or as we calls us "homo-puppies."
Rutger makes a comfortingly compelling case that humans are insticutally good. Rutger performed thorough research and he has me convinced. He tells such a happy tale of our early beginnings as a race and of us as a people now. In contrast to how I have usually been taught about both early humanity and human nature, Rutger gives me hope.
I know I'll be reading this book again soon---and you should too if you need a reason to have faith in humanity again!
