All of the reviews that say this is a hilarious novel aren't accurate in my opinion. This is a serious novel that explores serious themes like domestic violence and depression. It has a quirky tone at times, but nothing about Eleanor and what she's dealing with is funny. It's a good read and I'm glad I read until the end because it's slow in some parts and not super plot heavy. Regardless it's well written and memorable! 4.5 stars
