An Act of Obsession by K.C. Lynn
5.0
⭐️ 5 STARS ⭐️
I love K.C. Lynn's books so much! Every time I read her latest new book, it always exceeds my expectations and this one wasn't an exception to the rule. I know what I'm in for with her novels: romance, sexiness, hot alpha hero with a dirty mouth and a big heart and suspense.
Sophie Parish escaped a savage attack and since then she's hiding her identity and lives a lonely life by keeping herself away from any friendship. She hides behind her scarf the scars of her past and lives in fear every day. Trying to fight this feeling of always being afraid, she engages in an auto-defence class at the gym, where she meets Kolan her new teacher. I was totally curious about the dark and brooding fighter I had the chance to see glimpses of in previous books. Behind his hard exterior and need of control lies a damaged but sweet and touching man. I absolutely fell for the way he was with Sophie, always protective of her and treating her like his most important treasure. They both have wounds from a past they try to forget and together they achieves to heal the damaged part of each others. Sophie is one of the only person who sees the real Kolan and doesn't shy away from him. These two broken souls were incredible together. Seeing their feelings develop into something meaningful was magical. When you say opposites attract, in this case it's completely true. Like always with this author, the romance and sexy scenes were just wow! Kolan's dominant side and dirty talking was a real turn on. The build-up of their relationship was greatly wrote too, their attraction leading to an obvious ending. The other characters from the series were present like always and in every new book I like to see them all interact and have a little peek at what's happening in their life. This series is so great and I grow attached to the gang a little more in each novel!
An Act of Obsession is another complete success for K.C. Lynn. This couple was so perfect and it was definitely my favorite story in the series.
