The Hobbit: Graphic Novel by Chuck Dixon

4.0

I have read the novel and decided to read the graphic novel, the artwork is unique and the story is shortened slightly (and even then its a shortening that you don't mind). The graphic novel stays true to the story and the adventure, nothing added to an already wonderful thing. Some of the depictions in the art aspect are not quite what i had imagined but it adds to the story a little more, making you see them in someone else's idea of what everyone might look like. This is not anything to do with the adaption to movie ( which is how i view the trilogy) because the movie-verse is a different story all together. This graphic novel just proves even farther that the story is great without all the drama add to an already adventure packed story. The book is always better and I was hesitant to read this version of a story I already love, the graphic novel does not disappoint and I am very thankful for getting over my initial fear and opening to that first page.
