The Bay

You can’t get much different from a thriller in the snow as a thriller in the ocean. The Bay was one of my most anticipated reads for 2022 and I was thrilled to get an early copy to read, thanks to Hachette Australia. Once you start to read it you will not want to put it down, just like Shiver. Allie Reynolds sure knows her stuff on surfing!

This was an addictive of friendships, secrets and lies. There was so much going on, and ai was forever needing answers. It was clear from the actions of these characters that there was a lot under the surface, just waiting to come to to light. Who could be trusted? Who is lying? And who is willing to go to extreme lengths to protect themselves?

Kenna is worried about her best friend Mikki, who has just announced she is marrying fellow surfer, Jack, in Australia. Kenna feels something is wrong, so she jumps on a plane to find out what nod to help her friend. Pretty much as soon as she arrives in Sydney l they head up the coast to Sorrow Bay. This is their own little bit of the world, and they join their tribe there. The tribe are very wary of strangers, and Kenna gets the feeling that they don’t want her there. But she is determined to find out what is going on with her friend. Asking questions is not endearing her to anybody. All of these surfers have their demons, and things in their past that would rather keep there. Will Kenna we able to get her friend back on the plane to England before it is too late.

So many questions! i love a book that has me intrigued and questioning everyone. There are plenty of reasons to suspect them all of the strange things that are happening around them. Who is it?

If you loved Shiver, you will love The Bay. Highly recommend
