As the 7th book in a series there isn’t a lot I can say about A Touch of Chaos that won’t be a spoiler for another book, but I’ve done my best.
What I will say is that this series was my first read with spice. It didn’t make me cringe and close the book. The storyline was interesting to me, and kept the pages turning. A Touch of Darkness is a favorite of mine to recommend to ladies who are in a slump or don’t read often (if they’re comfortable with spice). So in its way this series has been a favorite of mine.
When you have years of waiting for a finale, it is easy to build the books up more in your mind and find yourself let down by the actual ending. I waited so long to review this book because that may have happened to me. None the less the ending was great. It was the HEA we wanted. There were some side characters introduced in A Game of Gods who I expected more from, but I really enjoyed how their storyline opened up more of the world StClair created to us. I’m sad that it’s over, but looking forward to reading stories from other characters in the future.
