Really great read for even the casual soccer fan. Very much enjoyed getting to know more of the complexities of analyzing soccer, while the books references are a little dated at this point, it’s points and overall themes are still highly applicable to sport and thinking about data. I, in classic form, got put on to this book by Gladwell talking about how society should be structured more like successful soccer teams which need to shore up weak links to be successful rather than relying on star players. Needless to say, I bought it immediately.
