This is hands down one of the absolute dumbest fucking books I have ever read, and that’s saying something. The characters suck, the plot is stupid, the writing is so painfully juvenile it feels like a 12 year old wrote it on ao3, and some of the shit said in reference to being queer made me have to put the book down because it was so fucking ridiculous.
It’s every stereotypical crappy high school romance novel except so much worse because the characters are like dramatic whiny cardboard cut outs. It’s not even worth it for so bad it’s good or for a light queer read, this book is just dumb. It’s singular redeeming quality is that it has good deaf representation, and even then the character literally never calls out the ableism of the people around him and never gets an apology from his literal family for refusing to communicate with him. Do not waste your time with this shit.
