Despite it's slow pace The Long Walk is a very gripping and very tense book, which I couldn't put down. Left me thinking and feeling long after finishing, a book whose contents and character will stick with me. As the first King/Bachman book I've read, it hasn't definitely left me hooked and wanting to read more of his work. Although it was challenging and difficult to get through at times, due to the descriptions of pain, gore and death, I found myself not being able to get away from it until I'd finished. Highly recommend. Only down side is that the end felt slightly rushed and neglected, as it felt faster paces in the last few chapters. A very great read however, one I won't forget.
Graphic: Gun violence, Suicidal thoughts, Racial slurs, Violence, Blood, and Death
Moderate: Emotional abuse, Grief, Homophobia, Sexual content, and Vomit
