I’m not a fan of the movie, but I figured I’d give the book a chance since the book is usually better than movie. Unfortunately for me it turns out the movie is a fairly 1:1 adaptation of the book, so I didn’t get a whole lot out of this. At least the book doesn’t feel like it’s laughing at Chance as much as the movie.
