Did not finish book. Stopped at 29%.

I found the characters unlikeable at the start, but decided to press forward. I generally like a good survival story (& forced proximity trope), but this was not that. It was too high-stakes to be a fun romcom, and TSTL characters for it to be a decent survival story. I cannot enjoy the story when I’m having anxiety over their safety, health/infections, & overall well being (especially with my first aid knowledge/training). This may be a marketing problem, bc my mindset going in was love/laughs, not cringey emergency situations. I generally like adventure/thriller/survival type stories, so I’m not opposed to a contemporary romance including these heavier elements (when done well).
