Deanna Grey is quickly become an insta-buy author for me- her stories and characters are endearing and heart aching in the best way while not shying away from the fact that even in love stories, people have an ugly reality to contend with. However those realities don’t bog the story down or overshadow the romance in a way that makes it feel like characters are using romance as escapism. Grey does a beautiful job keeping her stories grounded in reality, writing honestly and earnestly. And this very much continues in ‘Sunny Disposition’

Naomi, a cozy gaming streamer, math eficianado, and perpetual ray of sunshine, is well rounded outside of her romantic plot line: she’s dealing with grief and boundary setting and giving herself permission to feel anger/frustration. Finn is more than our grumpy MM- he’s coming to terms with the reality of memory loss and navigating relationships he doesn’t remember. These characters are dealing with incredibly real things and I loved them all the more for it.

‘Sunny Disposition’ is emotional, engaging, sweet, steamy when it needs to be- it’s an excellent contemporary romance that you can’t help but devour. I couldn’t be more excited to see the Mendell Hawks series continues 🖤
