Old Yeller by Fred Gipson
4.0

This book is a reread for me. My original copy of the book is lost somewhere, so I borrowed this one from the library. Honestly this is such a sad book, but it’s worth the pain. Yeller was such a good and unique job. I wish the ending was different, but it’s a growing moment for Travis. I feel like chapter 15 is what sticks with you when you think of this book, so I forgot a lot of what happens in this book. It almost felt like I was reading it for the first time, which was nice. I honestly don’t even remember Lisbeth or how awesome Mama was. I feel like as a kid you didn't really appreciate Mama, but now that I’m older I can say she almost became this book's MVP, but no one can beat Yeller. I plan on reading this book to my children someday, so I can make them cry as well, because I’m a loving mother that way.

MVP: Old Yeller
