Yasman and Josiah were the "it" couple: best friends, lovers, business partners and parents, but when tragedy strikes their family, years of past trauma and the inability to navigate the overwhelm of grief, overtakes them. This is such a real, raw, emotionally charged story that tackles everything from life and death, marriage and divorce, and overcoming challenges within your relationship with yourself and with those around you. Ryan's writing is incredible and it made me feel like I actually knew Yasman and Josiah. She captures the essence of human thought and feeling perfectly, while tackling stigmas around mental health with grace and compassion. I do recommend checking trigger warnings on this one beforehand.
