Considering this is one of the only written works by a Tuvan tribe member this should be rated higher. It appears he wrote a 3-part autobiography with the first (blue sky) being about his youth before being taken away from his family and sent to a state sanctioned school. I enjoyed this book learning how as a child he viewed the world around him, the similar yet unique interactions with his family members. I truly loved that they adopted in a “stray” grandma who helped raise him and loved him dearly. If you raise sheep, this is one book that may surprisingly help? or lend comfort to you as it did me.
