A great follow-up to The Thousand Lies of Ardor Benn, but I have the same issue as with the previous book. This story just ends far too abruptly. There's a nice lengthy "final" battle with an awesome revelation about Moonsickness...and then nothing, just a brief summary of how Ardor Benn seemed to make matters even worse than before. It definitely feels like the story could have continued, and now I'm left wondering if the third book will immediately pick up where this one ended.

Also, one thing that was missing from the first was the Grit chart at the end of the book. I would have loved to see a chart of the newly discovered Grit. Speaking of which, I COMPLETELY anticipate Benn or Raekon dumping a ton of that Metamorphosis grit on that bull dragon...unless it only works on dragon eggs.
