Rogue by Gina Damico

5.0

I finished this book approximately 4 minutes ago. And I'm still crying.

Upon finishing this book, I hugged it and yelled "THIS IS A TERRIBLE BOOK" while rocking back and forth and sobbing. This did not bode well, as it is nearly 1am.

I fell in love with the first two books in this series. They were phenomenal. I loved the characters and the plot and all that they stood for. But like most final trilogy books, this one was different. My heart literally hurts. And I honestly don't know how to explain this other than "OMG THE FEELS".

I will never be able to explain how much I absolutely loved this series, so please just do yourself the biggest favor in the world and buy it. Read it. Fall in love with it. Hate Ms. Damico for ruining your life. Accept it. And finally worship it when you're done.

I have a feeling a reading slump is going to follow this book. I can't think about anything other than how perfect this ended the series and how much I hate everything about the ending at the same time.

I have to thank everything under the sun that gave me the opportunity to have this book in my grasp. I never would have found it otherwise. And most people probably won't find this series either. But please, if you're reading this, don't be one of those people. Fall in love with Lex, Driggs, and Uncle Mort. Hate Ferbus. Wish you lived in Croak. Laugh at the humor woven everywhere in the pages of this trilogy, wish being a Grim was a real job, and more than anything, embrace the immense amount of emotion coming your way. It's worth it.

5/5 stars. An instant favorite series. I'm going to try to regain control of my breathing now and convince myself that rereading the last 3 chapters is not, in any way, a good idea. Especially not with how fragile this book made me, and knowing work awaits in a few, short hours.
