Anxious People by Fredrik Backman

Did not finish book. Stopped at 15%.
I started this on audio and it was not what I was expecting. I thought it was going to be about the hostages and that situation, but it seems like the focus is on the cops and the investigation. I don't like stories with cops as main characters. I have no idea why exactly, but the police procedures don't appeal to me. Plus, I also don't like the emphasis this author gives to the old vs young generation. The younger people are always presented in not the best light while the older ones are presented as wise and complex. I noticed this when I read a preview of another of the author's books and I get the same feeling just by reading the synopsis of "A Man Called Ove". This author is just not for me, but the audiobook narrator was great and she made me laugh at times because of the voices she gave certain characters. The narrator is Marin Ireland.
