Crimson Lake Road
by Victor Methos
3.5 stars
"Crimson Lake Road" is the second book in the Desert Plains series. I had high hopes for it after loving the first book, "A Killer's Wife." This one was still very enjoyable and I listened to it within 2 days. Reviewing thrillers is hard because I don't want to give anything away, but parts of this book bugged me. I didn’t like the main character, Jessica Yardley, as much as I did in the first book. I didn't like some of the choices she made. I also didn't love the ending. The book was full of suspense, which I loved, and it had some twists. Overall it was a 3.5 star book for me. I'm still glad that I read it, but I don't think it's a must read.
