I think my complaints echo what many others have said in the reviews—- I really enjoyed Eves story and the actual historical pieces. Charlie however was annoying and more of a chick lit which did not fit with the heroism and power in Eves story.
Also I just got really mad at the end. I couldn’t help but compare the “face to face with your enemy” portion to Corrie Ten Boom… and Corrie chose forgiveness. Now I know Corrie was a godly woman and also real.. Eve was a fictitious character in the story and maybe chose the more typical human response of revenge… but I still was very annoyed by the ending moral. Plus the hallmark ending was incredibly annoying.
