An interesting plot which could have been better executed.
A fairytale retelling from another person's perspective, this novella tells Ana's story, Cinderella's step-sister.
I picked up this book because the description intrigued me. I wanted to read Ana's side of the story and while I liked what I read, I also think it could have been better.
It was short and quick, so it also felt a bit rushed. I wanted to see more of Ana and Angus's relationship and the romance between them could have been a little more fleshed out. I did not expect a whole novel, maybe 25-30 more pages would have been enough.
That being said, I liked the first person POV and I felt bad for Anna. I could relate to a few things.
The story also had a lesson, that most of us listen to only one side of the story and judge. It is essential to know the whole truth.
I'm glad that Ana got her HEA. I recommend this book for readers who want something short and interesting.
