** trigger/content warning for SA & rape in this book, including a graphic assault scene**
I expected this to be a feel-good hockey story about how the love of the game can unite the divided. That was not the case. Although Backman does highlight the pros of sports, this story is more of a criticism of the dark side of hokey and the very real consequences of that culture. Of course it is also very compelling and well written because one can expect no less from this author. This story wasn’t as light hearted or comedic as other books I’ve read from Backman.
