As someone who has been married for 14 years and together for almost 20, I absolutely loved reading a novel that shows marriage concerns and very real issues within marriages represented. Marriage is hard. Relationships are hard. And as someone with children, I can say that I related to some of these things a little more than I thought I would.

I am a sucker for a second chance story - especially since my love story in real life is about that. The ups are up and the downs in this story are down. But they were written so wonderfully that you couldn’t help but cheer for them even when they didn’t have a reason to cheer for themselves.

Sometimes tho - like this book accurately portrays - it takes something massive and unexpected to drive your point home. When someone doesn’t take you seriously, sometimes you have to step outside of yourself and show them just how much you meant what you said.

Watching this unravel and then getting to see it put back together was a beautiful thing. As far as second-chance romances go, this one is def in my top 10. I loved it.
