I really, really wanted to like this book more than I did, but while John Wyndham-inspired, moss scifi-horror was appealing, and peppered with moments of deeply beautiful prose, ultimately it's frustratingly vague and confusing narrative left me feeling irritated with the novel more than I'd like.
