Adjustment Day by Chuck Palahniuk
2.0

Palahniuk definitely accomplishes the creepy factor, particularly at this moment in history, and is fastidious in wrapping up loose ends with each character. I just didn’t find it terribly profound- while creative, the book never delved beyond the the dystopian plot setup. Characters didn’t develop at all- even the ones you think have changed were actually faking it for survival. I didn’t end up caring about any of the characters, which makes for a slog of a read.
