The Ebb Tide by Beverly Lewis

3.0

This could have been better if the author had condensed Sallie’s summer nanny job into fewer pages. It seemed like she described almost every single day, and it got very repetitive.
Also, Sallie’s relationship struggles seemed to drag, and her own personal growth was presented very slowly, if at all.
I enjoyed the descriptions of Cape May because it’s someplace I’ve enjoyed in person. But I frequently found myself asking “is this book about the people or the place?”
I’ve read much better books by this author!
