This was a very good thriller which I would happily read again. Good action. Interesting. Definitely kept my attention. I know a book is good when I reach for it whenever I have a few minutes to spare (like today).

The book was not without its' problems however:

1. There is no government conspiracy. I mean, it's a Jack Ryan novel and he's the president of these here United States, so unfortunately, no dirtbag government weenie trying to take over the world.

2. There is a subplot in this book which takes up a few chapters that seemed almost entirely useless to me. It was interesting, but didn't drive the plot forwards.

3. The ending is summed up very quickly. The author should have left out the useless subplot and spent more time on the ending.
