'Salem's Lot by Stephen King

4.5

I think I like this book more each time I read it. It’s so autumnal and has such a strong and distinct vibe. I found it super propulsive and hard to put down this read. A great early example of how well King can make a town—and the townspeople—feel real. While I think the weakest part of this is the characters, there are still some fun ones, like Matt Burke and Perkins Gillespie. So many good scares too! Just great.
