Grant's Heat, Volume 4: Shark's Edge Book 4 by Angel Payne, Victoria Blue

3.0

I have really enjoyed the Shark's Rise Series the first three books I blew through but this one was a bit of a struggle for me. Let me say that I really like both Grant and Rio, I have since I first met them in the other books. Grant is the fixer he always fixes problems, he is Sebastian's right hand man they have grown up together and always had each others back. Rio is the saucy little spitfire and co-owner of Abstract Catering with her SIL Abbi and they have always had their ups and downs because they view things in a different light. The story was well written and page turning. It also provided you a better look at characters from a new light such as Abbi and Sebastian. It provided us better insight to Grant and Rio. The issue for me was that the attraction that Grant and Rio shared and her being married now I know that it happens and it could be I'm wired wrong for it. I know that Grant did not touch her or anything but for me it just bugged me that he was dying to do just that. Rio is happily married to Sean and unfortunately events that occur beyond anyone's control hinder Rio's mental health and that is one of her struggles that she has endured her entire life and nobody knows exactly what she has to deal with on a daily basis but herself. Overall I liked it but could not bring myself to love it. Others I am sure will love it and I know not every book is for everyone. It is still defiantly worth the read I give it 3.5 stars. It is well written, plenty of steam, page turning.
