The Russian Concubine by Kate Furnivall
4.0

This book had been on my shelf for quite some time and I became more and more reluctant to read it. However, it could not stay unread for ages so I finally caved in and started it. The first 100 pages were difficult to get into since this book needs some introduction but the second part of the book was amazing and well written. I think that the overall story is really good but the explicity of some scenes were not really necessary. The ending suprised me and that is always a good thing. I am really looking forward to see how things continue with Lydia, the main character of this book in the sequel 'The Girl from Junchow.

PS. Although this book is a second in a series it can be read as a stand alone novel.
