A Hundred Thousand Worlds by Bob Proehl

Did not finish book. Stopped at 7%.
I usually grasp on to the core energy of a book really quickly. Like I’ll read pretty much anything most of the time, but tHIS? No.
I’m not a huge comic/Comic-Con person (no judgement to those who are) but this book ALREADY began going into so much weird details about comic stuff that I literally began dissociating, like for me Brett’s character POV was so boring and felt like it dragged. The kids parts are super cute though. Another negative is this scrawny little white dude (the author) like out the gate begins this book by saying TRANSVESTITE and that rubbed me the wrong way because it was literally for a comic character… and idk. As a trans-masc person it rubbed me the wrong way.
I had bought this book at the literal dollar tree for $1 and did further research of the plot/storyline and reviews (good and bad) of this book and it just doesn’t sound like it’s for me. It might not be terrible. I’m not saying it is, but it is definitely not for me and I don’t feel like forcing myself through it right now. Maybe later I’ll revisit it.
