i haven’t read this since 6th grade, and even then i only read it once, so i decided to pick this back up after finishing my hunger games reread.
i had a really funny whiplash going from the writing style of the hunger games to this; it’s definitely a downgrade. but i still love the movies all these years later, and the first one turns 10 this year (which is batshit crazy), so i will always have a soft spot in my heart for this, even if it’s not the best book i’ve ever read.
