A Ballad of Phantoms and Hope by K.M. Moronova
4.0
whew. This was an emotional one. tears were most certainly shed.
it was haunting. I think that’s the best way to describe this book. as someone who struggles with mental illness, i felt seen. k.m. moronova put so many thoughts and feelings that i’ve had into tangible words. i hated seeing lanston continue to hurt so much, but i am so happy that he found happiness. ophelia’s story was tender and real and devastating.
if you are looking for a read that will make you feel, like really feel, read ‘fabric of our souls’ and then this one.
also, shout out to the short chapters!
