Overall, really enjoyable novel and great world-building to start a new series. I will say that there were multiple points where the main character just annoyed me. That being said, I do think it is just a part of the character's personality and it does get better as the series continues. It was nothing spectacular or ground-breaking but I really enjoyed this novel and read the next 2 within 3 days.
