Reading the Sister Fidel’s book gave me not only a good mystery, but also gave me history and theology lessons, which I loved. Very informative about ancient Irish history, English history in the late 7th century and the workings of the Catholic Churches (Rome and Columba). I’ve been fortunate to go to the small island of Iona. The main protagonist, Sister Fidel’s, was a bit harsh d to like because of her temper, but I think she will grow on me. I had no idea that in ancient Ireland women had so many opportunities!
