a fast-paced magical horror. the author creates compelling suspense by switching between points of view, while managing to keep each plot line going. i wasn't confused at any point. my only drawback was that i think the story itself could have been a bit shorter--there was a lot of build-up to the main events, and the story would have been equally as impactful without those elements, in my opinion.
