Started listening to the CD version yesterday (9/19). I'm already captivated by the writing.
10/11/09: So glad I decided to get this book on CD, although I really wish I could have listened to it uninterrupted (eg long road trip) rather than turning it on and off frequently during my in-town driving. Having the author narrate was especially nice, as I know I would have had trouble with some of the pronunciations. Really a beautiful, touching story, though I was not quite prepared for just how hard and painful some parts of it would be. I would really love to read a sequel.
