One Stormy Night by Sofia Sawyer
5.0
I would like to thank the author for her efforts in providing me with a copy of this book after I won a prize draw, despite all the hurdles Amazon put in the way! I can confirm this is my honest review after reading.
This book had so many elements I love, forced proximity, only one bed, slow burn, some pining, hot sex and an 'omg-are-they-definitely-going-to-get-their-HEA?' moment at the end. The Scottish setting was just beautiful. It was impossible not to warm to Charlie, with her kindness and determination. Lachlan started off as a workaholic asshole but the scene where he sees Charlie on the island in his epiphany moment was great. I would have loved to have seen a bit more of a connection between them when they worked together, before they met on the island. But it really was a sweet story which I thoroughly enjoyed. Oh, and there was a cute dog too! What's not to love?!
